Uniworld Group uses creative approach to reach urban youth, National audience for Ford Focus
New York, New York, Aug. 12 1999—Uniworld Group, Inc. has created an unexpected, youthful and futuristic media campaign targeting urban youth.
The campaign was created by combining compelling statements, such as "Power Without Focus is Just Wasted Energy," "Passion Without Focus is Just Greed," "Sound Without Focus is Just Noise," and "Life Without Focus is Just Existing" with bold, colorful graphics and digital photography.
Each ad in the series highlights a different feature of the car, including its sound system, roominess, and styling. The radio campaign features two versions of "slam" poetry, which is stylized hip-hop poetry.
While Uniworld has targeted African American and urban media for the campaign, media rotation has been expanded to national media outlets.
Campaign Highlights Include:
A teaser campaign will be conducted in August, consisting of the following elements:
· Radio: Two 60-second spots air in five markets; New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago and Atlanta.
· Wild Postings: Four versions will be distributed in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago and Atlanta.
The magazine campaign will be conducted October through December 1999, consisting of the following elements:
· Two page, four-color spreads.
· Ads appearing in Black Enterprise, Ebony, Emerge, Heart & Soul, Jet, Vibe, The Source, African Americans on Wheels, BET Weekend, and Sister 2 Sister.
