Coolant temp gauge.
Does any one know what the normal running position is for the 2008 ses coupe? Took it on a long trip recently and the needle was just slightly the to the left of vertical.

The temp gauge for most Foci tends to read normal in the vertical range. Your temps sound alright.

Temp gauges on modern cars are not precise instruments they are just there more as a reference or guideline. I think you are fine.
