help with umble flaps 2.0 Duratec

2005 zx3, 113,000 miles. Car has a "flutter/stuttet" under load that is most noticable at highway speed. Noise coming from intake. Any way to solve? Is there a rebuild kit, or is new manifold needed?

Last I looked into this, there was no repair kit.
Need to get a new manifold with the flaps, get a new manifold without the flaps, or remove them from your current manifold and seal up the holes.

Running w/o flaps will need a tune to get rid of the CEL, and may result in loss of low end torque and/or mileage.

When this day comes in my Focus' life, I plan on finding a junkyard intake and making sure it is A-OK before install.

It sounds just like valve noise, but the valve cover itself is as quiet as you'd expect.

If you want your car to be stock again, then you should purchase a new intake manifold, or a used intake manifold without the damage. Now my car has been making tumble flap noise for about 50k miles now. It started around 100k. I knew what it was, and how to fix it, and I knew I didn't have what I needed. Now I have what I need, but no time to do it in. As soon as my 3rd vehicle is repaired, then I'll be able to put the ZXW up for a while and repair it.

If I push down on the plunger for the flaps with the car off, it makes air noise. Going to look into the vac line going to the control.
