I run in STF.

I run the Z1's on my SVT (in STF) and have been very happy with them.

I have had the "these tires are great when hot but downright scary in the wet/cold" XS's and really just wanted something that worked good in most weather conditions.

Also probably going to pick up some cheap (clearance priced) Z1's for my driving to events and OMG downpour + standing water situations that may come up.

Slightly off topic... but I really want to slap some RS-3s on my daily driver WRX, but the responsible adult in me says you should buy some all seasons.

I'm not sure how much of a better clearance price you will get on the Z1 SS. They are already on clearance ($159 215/40-17) and are priced within dollars of one another assuming they end up working well in wet situations ($153 for Z2 215/45-17 and $167 215/40-17)

Granted a few of the better regulars were absent.

More recently, very near ftdi in November (~45-50 degrees air temp) on 160 run old RS3

Either the RS3 is fine in cold/wet, or I am some kind of beast in those conditions (not likely...).

Car set up and road course are other variables.

For me, I am thinking about adding more Camber up front to help.
