I say if it breaks it was going to break anyway. Better sooner than later. Had a guy blow a oil filter gasket once on the track. That sucked. Gave him a ride to the nearest auto parts store and helped him fix it. Never had a problem myself.

I had my TPS go bad last year while racing but don't think the racing caused it to go bad any sooner. There's no way realy know if racing caused or helped it go bad. Usually a TPS would be a quick low dollar fix BUT NO. Since I drive a 2001, you can't buy a new TPS. You have to buy a new updated throttle body with TPS. So $190.00 bucks later, it's all good. Still, I don't blame it on the racing. It could of gone bad on the way to work and I woud have still needed to make the upgrade.
