Arp head nuts: Socket type/size?
Aiming to replace my head gasket this weekend and I've got down to the cylinder head. Does anyone happen to know what size and type of socket for ARP cylinder head nuts for my Zetec? I have tried a 1/2'' 12-point socket and E14,E16 star sockets but it seems to have too much play and don't want to risk stripping the nuts. Any help would be nice!

hey I just did these on mine its a 12 sided socket 12mm. best of luck and torque it to about 72 to 75lbs

I just got this kit. With ARP lube it says 60 foot lbs on the info sheet it came with.

Got the head off and there was damage in cylinder #1. On the head a small chunk was missing by the water jacket. All ive found was that my spark plug split in two.

Well there is no metal anywhere in the cylinder. Im guessing the gasket was leaking then eventually gave way to detonation. Before I took it out for the drive I replaced the thermostat housing and pcv valve and it was running betted than it ever had then; then couple miles down the road it blew the gasket.
