Just got my Injected update and DCT tune for my '13 SEL.
Only have about 60 miles on it and so far, so good. This car now does everything better than it did stock. I was happy with the original 87 tune, and the DCT tune along with the latest 87 octane tune is icing on the cake.
My car has gone through a few different personalities when it comes to DCT behavior. Had the jerky engagements on & off until around 13,000 miles. Full throttle runs from standing start to about 60mph would usually smooth the engagements out temporarily, but since around 12,000 miles, engagements have been pretty good. That was prior to the DCT tune just loaded at around 14,500 miles. Now, engagements are super smooth with nice, even power delivery during easy take-offs or hard. Only crediting the DCT tune for some of this since, like I said, engagements have been ok lately anyway.
Shift quality is much improved with slightly firmer shifts at light throttle and progressively harder shifts with more aggressive throttle. At heavy throttle, I need to have both hands on the wheel as the 1-2 shift is an eye-opener. More wheel spin 1-2 now.
Seems to have less lag when waiting for a downshift while pushing the throttle down slowly. Before the DCT tune, it was like "ok, I'm pushing the pedal down more and more, so when is this thing going to downshift?" Now, it downshifts more willingly instead of me having to press harder than I want to just to get the next gear down.
6th gear is available in "S" mode now too.
All in all, I don't know if this DCT tune will smooth out a jerky engagement problem since mine wasn't doing that before the tune anymore, but I have to say Injected did a ton of programming and seems to have addressed things I didn't even know could be improved.
Worth the wait, for sure.
