Decal faux pas?

Hey all, I had this fun little idea for a decal on my car, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't offensive or a no-no in the eyes of active duty/veterans. Since my Focus is Screaming Yellow, I decided to name it Colonel Mustard (original, right?) Well, as a sort of name tag, I wanted to get a pretty small window decal of this:

I am obviously not a Colonel in any form of armed services, so is it not cool to put a decal of this on my car? Thanks!

I personally wouldn't do it, whether it offends others or not. I think it's morally wrong. I am NOT and have never been in the military (just a Navy brat), so this is my own personal civilian take on it.

I'm sure you wouldn't be the first to fly an emblem that (no offense) doesn't belong to you. But that just wouldn't be an option for me. I just have way too much respect for what our military does to even consider something like that.

Again, just my own non-military opinion. Not bashing, just saying what I think.

It's really not about what other people will think of it... would you really feel ok with that emblem on your car, knowing what it's supposed to represent?

do you think anyone but military knows what that is? and even then no one would put together col mustard, just be some kid trying to pass himself off as an officer or an officers kid.
Best just to get a script cut for the rear saying it...

That's pretty much the response I was expecting, thanks for confirming my suspicions.
