Not to be too critical, but what are the advantages over the stock felt cover? I personally would be much more inclined if there were removable panels to allow oil change without removal of the whole panel. Suggest threaded bosses via threaded rivets? Otherwise I don't get why I would want a metal panel.

The OEM material is cheap. When it gets wet it hangs and sags. This will not last long. I made this skid plate for that reason and also I'm lowered. I drug the OEM one pretty bad. This one has been scaped before and still looks awesome. I travel on gravel roads as well. It totally up to you, if you like it, you like it, if you dont, then you dont.

Also by installing this it reduces drag underneath the car. This paired with my rear diffuser I got 5-7 mpg average gain.

It's not whether I like it or not, it's about usefullness. No need to be defensive. My car is still very new to me and I haven't noticed the wet/sag issue yet. But then I haven't thought to look. What does it weigh compared to the felt one? I assume aluminum? What gauge material? Is it thick enough to install a threaded boss?
