I drive to Boston periodically, I'll let you know when I'm going next. I have one semi-local inquiry via Craigs List, but haven't heard from him in a week. I'll let you know.
Thanks for your interest, and welcome to FF. BTW, I have removed the SVT seats, because I didn't expect Craigs List people to appreciate them, I still have them, and will re-install them if you want them for the extra $500. They are well worth it IMO. Last edited by mainest; 12-04-2012 at 04:29 PM. Reason: Added info re: seats |

Keep me posted, but I may end up buying through a dealership. I listed my truck on CL for 4,600 and got a bit of interest but nobody followed through and came to see the truck. For kicks I took it to a dealership to see what I'd get for a trade and they offered $5k trade and seemed like I could have talked them higher if I were so inclined.

Thanks, Droste. The SVT seats are indeed superior to stock ST seats. I bought these from CaysE two years ago, and never regretted it.

Just curios, Is the height adjustment wired in? Or can you bolt them on the stock seat frames?

The SVT seats, with rails, bolt onto the ST floor with four Torx bolts. If the height switch is wired into the harness (any power wire will do), the height is adjustable. My ST, and I'm sure yours too, has a manual height adjustment. From eyeballing each of them, it appears that the linkage itself is the same. It's cheaper to put in a crank than a switch and a motor lol. I have read that many (some?) STs come with the requisite harness and plugs for seat heaters, whether the car is equipped with heaters or not. I'm not sure whether it includes the height adjustment too, mine did not have that harness. I did buy the harness from someone here on FF, and will include it with the SVT seats, whether they go with the car or not.
