I know what you mean by all the last parts. Thats what killed my sr20 s13 swap. Had everything to go and was sooooo close but then all the last little pieces got me (couldnt find anything) and then my "friend" who was helping me dropped my car 2 ft off the stands and cracked the unibody right up the firewall. Had to part what i could and sell it. It sucked but o well time for another project ha ha ......

Hows the internship going??

i got sooo sick of eating apples lol.....

i worked with the mobile team working on some testing software developed in house for putting the macbooks through their paces. writing stress tests and what-not. was a great experience.

I bet thats a lot of apples to bite ha ha.

Very nice. Sounds like you know ur way around the macbooks pretty good ha ha. Whats the worst one of them would do after you put it through its paces?

i made one hard freeze. thing would full-lock up, no kernel panic, no debug messages to see, just full on stuck. we had to connect directly to the motherboard and go through the registry to find the issue. the engineers were stumped.

upgrading to the latest build of the OS solved the problem though.

wow, i got like 10pages(40post/page) through this and just skipped to the end... just too much BS and zero info.

what are the problems you are having with your swap.
please be as specific as possible and i will do my best to sort them out for you.

i noticed a few big mistakes right away though...

you need to find out what year the engine, trans, ECU and wiring harness all came from.
there are return and returnless Contours AND SVT-C's so you need to have all the parts match up or you will run into huge problems with the wiring and control!

if you have a returnless fuel system on a return style ECU it wont work. same goes for the wiring harness.

you also need to be sure the fuel system has the right injectors.

if you have a return ecu, you will just need a FPR and run an additional line to the tank and use the capped off port to hook it up to! DO NOT use the EVAP line as your return. this will cause more problems than you can think of. mainly, it will set of the CEL and kill numerous components. if your state has no emissions testing or required inspection intervals then no worries but it will limit you to selling your car in states that also do not need such inspections.

you will need a Cougar Cluster

you will need to basically rewire the entire engine bay and use both the focus and the Contour ECU's to have proper function of all systems!

you will also need the PATS key from the Contour you got the ECU from otherwise you are truly SOL on getting this started without a standalone ECU.

please let me know exactly what your issues are. and please, keep it to facts and not speculation, i need to know what you did how you did it or at what point you got lost to help.

for everyone else and not to be mean to the OP....

this is truly the wrong way to do this swap.

simplest way is get EVERYTHING from ONE car!
buy a whole car or front clip and take it out yourself! DO NOT go at this piece by piece or your car will take years to build vs tops a month if you know what you are doing!

once you have this swap done and the car running it is very simple to swap in a 3L from an 04 Taurus/Sable. you will probably need to modify a few things but for the most part this is very easy swap to do once all the hard work of getting the SVT-C parts in and running is done!

to the guy with the yellow v6 how did u work out the passangers side half shaft? thats the only issue i have left to work out on mine. if u could help me with this it would be greatly appritiated.
