Most likely an honest mistake. I'm sure 9 out of 10 people would see the wheels and HIDs and think the same thing.
Or 9 out of 10 people would have no idea what the hell SVT meant. Heh...

You could also take a glance at the interior, the brakes, the ground effects, pop the hood and take a look at the engine/intake, and feel it in the stiffness of the suspension.

I emailed him and thanked him for correcting it and now he's acting very pissed off at me. I recommended him advertising the wheels special and other aftermarket goodies. I told him the price was fair also

Just from the sounds of him being pissed off, I bet he was trying to screw someone over. I bet one his friends was like "say its an SVT and some idiot will think it is and buy it for a lot more than should" lol. I really dont like people like that at all. Just glad he changed it and didnt ignore you.

Geee, Maybe because you've done it?

Something tells me that the market for boot leg SVT Focuses is not strong enough to justify the time, effort and money it takes to make one.

you can tell the difference by a VIN check, or call for a build number

Yup, 497 parts. 498 if you have to re-paint with an SVT-specific color.
And yup, last I checked (which of course I haven't), to buy those 497 parts at retail would be something along the lines of $32k. And based on my recent attempts to hunt certain parts down, you might be able to find 450 of 'em and have a 90% SVT focus. Hehe...
