Offering him 4,750 can't hurt right? If he says no way go as high as YOU want to spend. Who cares how much people think it's worth because it's about what YOU think it's worth...

That's what a Bank or financing company will go by. I'm not suggesting you pay him full price but if he meet's you at 5k and its a solid car. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. Like everyone said though, I would defiantly drive it before making the final descion.

And if you've yet to run a carfax on it, i've still got a 30day subscription that hasn't run out yet(expires the 11th so hurry with the vin if you want me to run it). I'd have no problem helping you out.
